Leningrad, Petrograd, Petersburg
Leningrad, Petrograd, Petersburg is a before-and-after look at landmark cityscapes, based on a 1954 government-published book of photographs of the city. Visiting 52 years later, I re-photographed each location, revealing changes to Soviet monuments and architecture. Thirty-six pairings are presented as diptychs, showing a wide spectrum of change over time.
